Halloween 2016

We had an excellent Halloween this year.  Ava (our 9 year old neighbor) informed us that trick-or-treating is not very good in this neighborhood, so we made plans to go to Gramma and G-Daddy's house to do trick-or-treating over there.

Will broke apart from his 2 year run as an astronaut and wanted to be a fireman.  He looked so cute in his coat and hat.

Olivia wanted to be a witch.  You cannot tell, but she is actually a Minnie Mouse witch.  I looked everywhere for the Minnie Mouse witch hat with ears that cost $24.99 but could not find it.  A good thing too because she refused to wear her Target Dollar Spot witch hat.

I was afraid that Olivia would be too scared to go to doors.  Every store we would go in with Halloween merchandise, she would be terrified and cling to me.  Little girl does not like Halloween.  Or so I thought.  She LOVES trick-or-treating.  She feels like such a big girl going up to the doors and saying "trick or treat".

Will has always loved Halloween.  They didn't do much for Halloween at Thornebrooke this year.  I will be excited for Olivia to do the Halloween parade at St Lukes next year.  We did have one fun surprise.  The other night, our doorbell rang and when we opened the door no one was there, but there was a present.  Inside was lots of goodies and makings for a Halloween gingerbread house.  There was a poem that said "You've Been Booed" and it was a neighborhood pass-along thing.  We found out that the Reardens left it and the kids were super excited.  Just another reason why we love this neighborhood.

Overall, it was a great Halloween.  We drove through our old neighborhood so Will could see the giant pumpkin and it was madness as always.  Allison stayed behind to hand out candy at our house and we learned that we had ZERO trick-or-treaters.  Fine with me!  Such a change.
